VERIFICATION PROCESS
We have opened the window for you to go into your ParentVUE account or use the link on the OCSD website and complete the verification process for your student for next school year.

Please select Online Registration then choose the 2025-2026 CAIS Charter School Registration option.

This will allow you to update any necessary information such as addresses, phone numbers, add or delete contacts, medications, etc...  You are also able to upload things like immunization records and custody paperwork from here.

Transportation builds bus routes based on what you enter, so be sure you have selected the bus transportation option if you plan to send your student on a bus.

If you need assistance with your ParentVUE account please reach out to the office.

HIGH SCHOOL DUAL ENROLLMENT CLASSES AT CAIS/OCSLA/OCHS

Students enrolled in a class on another campus this year should consult your schedule to see which campus you start at on each day. Shuttles run between campuses during the lunch hour, but students must start at the correct campus at the start of each day.

A NOTE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT REGARDING THE STATEWIDE CELLPHONE BAN
The Governor, who also has jurisdiction over school as Chief Executive, created an Executive Order which became Law banning all use of cell phones and electronic devices for K-12 students during instructional hours. The full day ban has already been in place in our district at the middle school level, but it will be new for our high schools. Students who need a cellphone for a medical issue or other exceptional situation should reach out to the school's principal. For more information including the research around reducing personal technology use in school, please see these slide shows:

TRANSPORTATION UPDATES

The district has a new app that will provide families with the ability to track their student's bus. Please use this QR code to access the district transportation page for further information. Routes should be uploaded by tomorrow. Please reach out to Transportation directly with any questions.

If you do not have a route posted, please email Holly Stone at holly.stone@orecity.k12.or.us or leave her a message at 503 785 8535. The buildings do not manage the routes and will have to redirect you to transportation if you call us with route questions.

BREAKFAST AND LUNCH DETAILS

We are excited to offer meals for free for our students again. There is a charge for second helpings and for milk if you bring cold lunch. Please note the new lunch times. We will maintain a closed campus this year.

DRILL ANNOUNCEMENT

We will be having an all school emergency drill next week.
